Write in with a question and it comes back to her. She is also the one who says no when a thing isn't good enough to go on the shelf.
If something is recommended here, one of the three of us has owned it, hosed it off, and watched what August did to it.

Plain goods, plain talkThere is a kind of store that used to sit at the edge of every town. Sacks stacked to the ceiling, a dog asleep by the door, and a man behind the counter who would tell you the fourteen-dollar feed pan was fine and you did not need the other one. That is the whole idea here. We put it on the internet because that edge-of-town store closed.
So the site is laid out like the walk: the porch, the yard, the pasture, the barn. Porch Dogs first, because that is where most people come in and most people stay. Then Yard Birds, Pasture Pets, Goat Rodeo, Barn Cats — a dog store that keeps a shelf for cats, because half the porches around here have both.
Your porch might be in a subdivision. Doesn't matter. It is still his porch, he is still out there at six o'clock, and he still needs a bed that survives a July storm.
The store we are copying
We don't take your money. The stores do.
Some links here are affiliate links, which means a store pays us a cut when you buy. It does not change your price, and it is the reason we can tell you the cheap one is fine.
Nothing goes up that nobody here has owned.
If none of the three of us has had it out in the weather, it does not get a recommendation. That is slower. It is also the only thing that makes the recommendation worth anything.
We say so when we haven't got it yet.
Pages that aren't stocked wear a hatch mark. We could fill them in an afternoon with somebody else's photographs. That is the one thing this store will not do.
The house doctrine
Buy the 90%-as-good workhorse at half the price.
We don't stock the boutique stuff. We tell you which cheap thing holds up in Mississippi humidity, which one splits by August, and where to go get it — and then you buy it wherever it is cheapest, which is frequently not from us.

Porch Dog Supply Co. belongs to Tramel Farms, which is a real family farm outside Oxford — not a name we invented to make the store sound like it came from somewhere. When something comes off that farm it goes on the shelf here with their photographs, their words, and their names on it. When it's gone, it's gone.
